Thanks to Tiree music festival and islanders

The Oban Times - - Letters -

Sir, My wife and I and our toddler were at Tiree music festival for the first time this year and I would like to take this opportunity through your letters page to thank the folk who helped us throughout the weekend.

From the staff on the buses who got us to the site, to the volunteers who helped set up our tent. Also the police officer who came to check that we had moved from the campsite to the hall when the wind really got going and then to the organiser who made sure we would be put up in a house for the night.

A big thank you to the family, who housed us, fed and watered us, allowed my daughter to get a bath and kept us for a second night. We went on to thoroughly enjoy the great music and atmosphere on the Saturday and Sunday and we will be definitely be back next year, providing we get tickets. So thank you to all the people who helped us out. Gilbert Bannerman, Loch
