A suc­cess­ful sum­mer­time ceilidh

LAST Thurs­day’s sum­mer ceilidh at Taynuilt pro­vided a night of top class mu­sic and dance.

Oban piper, Alastair Ma­cLean, started the pro­ceed­ings with a lively se­lec­tion of pipe tunes and fur­ther mu­si­cal ex­cel­lence was pro­vided by ac­cor­dion­ist, Alas­dair Mac­Don­ald, and fid­dler, Ann Bar­low.

Young sis­ters, Iona and Isla McKay (Isla Sin­clair Dancers) de­lighted the au­di­ence with im­pres­sive High­land danc­ing per­for­mances.

There was a wide range of en­joy­able songs and the singers per­form­ing were Mòd gold medal­ist, Mary Cather­ine MacNeil, Graeme Camp­bell, Becky & Lyn­d­say Wil­son, Lau­ren Mac­Don­ald, Janet Fer­gus­son and hol­i­day­maker El­lie Webb from St Albans.

Fear an Taighe for the evening was Don­ald Har­ri­son who kept pro­ceed­ings flow­ing smoothly.
