The facts about epilepsy

EPILEPSY Scot­land wants to talk to peo­ple about the ill­ness at a ques­tion and an­swer ses­sion.

Work­ers from the char­ity will be at the North Ar­gyll Car­ers cen­tre in Albany Street, Oban, on Tues­day Au­gust, 18, from 1pm to 4.30pm. Epilepsy Scot­land’s staff will be there to an­swer ques­tions and give out use­ful fact­sheets at the free event.

Mean­while, at the Kil­more and Oban Church in Glen­cruit­ten Road, lo­cal health, so­cial work, teach­ing and vol­un­tary sec­tor work­ers can en­joy free epilepsy aware­ness train­ing ses­sions.The cer­ti­fied CPD course will run be­tween 1pm and 4pm.

The sec­ond ses­sion looks at the im­pact of sleep de­pri­va­tion on men­tal health and learn­ing for teenagers and is on from 5pm un­til 7.30pm.
