Hop on for a spectacular wildlife tour
SCOTTISH Sea Life Sanctuary in Oban has teamed up with Sea Explorer to offer customers a chance to explore the amazing natural beauty of the area and its wildlife.
Running daily from the sanctuary in Barcaldine, the Sea Explorer boat trips range from a half hour ‘Hop Around The Loch’ to a two-hour spectacular, taking in the stunning Castle Stalker or Falls of Lora. Central to all the trips is a focus on the beautiful, natural surroundings and wildlife that can be found there. Customers can expect to see creatures such as seals, porpoise, otters, eagles, deer, wild goats and a variety of sea birds.
Guided by Sea Explorer’s fully qualified - and by their own admission very amusing - skippers, customers will receive a full interactive tour with information on history, folklore and wildlife.
‘ We’re really excited to be working with Sea Explorer,’ said the Sanctuary’s general manager, Kathryn Angel.
‘Conservation is a major part of what we do here at the Sanctuary. We hope that by seeing marine wildlife in its natural environment we can further educate the public on the importance of protecting these creatures.’
Full details of the boat trips can be found on the Sanctuary website at visitsealife.co.uk/ oban.
