MEMBERS of a Lochaber choir raised £ 400 for their group by hosting a Mexican night.

Singers from the Morvern Gaelic choir looked out their salsa bowls and tortilla baskets for the evening held recently in Lochaline village hall.

Guests enjoyed a Mexican feast, a night of singing, dancing and had fun with a homemade piñata.

Eventually choir member, Peter Lindsay, managed to successfully break open the piñata and everyone scrambled to pinch the goodies inside.

People also played a ‘ hilarious’ game of pinthe-tail on the donkey, in which Gillian Gallacher won the prize with a ‘near perfect’ placement.

One of the organisers, Riona White, said: ‘ The choir would like to thank everyone who helped and came along to support the event.
