£300 fine for hav­ing co­caine

A MAN who was found with a class A drug while on route for a pizza will pay a £ 300 fine.

David Sym­mers, of Kennedy road Fort Wil­liam, was found with 3.6 grams of co­caine when he was stopped by po­lice on Lochy road, In­ver­lochy on Fe­bru­ary 9 this.

The 35-year- old made an early plea of guilty to the charge and was is­sued a fine at Fort Wil­liam sher­iff court on Tues­day.

De­fence so­lic­i­tor Hamish Mel­rose saud: ‘At the time of the in­ci­dent my client was go­ing to col­lect a pizza, of all things. He has fully co- op­er­ated with the po­lice and court.’
