Dun­can Black with his win­ning vase of la­vat­era OBAN and Lorn hor­ti­cul­tural so­ci­ety held its an­nual show on Satur­day at the town’s Glen­cruit­ten church cen­tre.

David Hodge, show man­ager, said there was a good show­ing of en­tries, de­spite the poor weather this sum­mer.

‘En­tries are down on pre­vi­ous years, but it was to be ex­pected be­cause of the weather we’ve had,’ he said. There was an im­pres­sive se­lec­tion of veg­eta­bles on
