Fluffy bird, Algy, will make a sur­prise land­ing at Ard­na­mur­chan

A FLUFFY bird named Algy has been cap­tur­ing the imag­i­na­tions of chil­dren from Ard­na­mur­chan and now the woman be­hind the mys­te­ri­ous crea­ture has made her­self avail­able for ques­tions.

Jenny Chap­man, au­thor and artist of ‘A Sur­pris­ingly Fluffy Bird’, will make her sec­ond visit to Ard­na­mur­chan Light­house this Sun­day (Au­gust 30), for a book sign­ing.

This comes ahead of the sec­ond novel in the se­ries, out­lin­ing Algy’s ad­ven­tures in the rugged land­scape of ru­ral Lochaber.

Com­pli­men­tary copies of ‘A Sur­pris­ingly Fluffy Bird’ will soon be avail­able for lo­cal pri­mary schools.

Young­sters are en­cour­aged to visit the West Ard­na­mur­chan au­thor’s web­site, ad­ven­ture­so­falgy.com, where they can find an online dic­tionary and gal­leries to spark their own writ­ing and art­work.
