New benches for residents

A SHELTERED housing complex for the elderly in Oban has new garden benches thanks to funding from Scottish Sea Farms Heart of the Community Trust.

Dunmar Court’s 36 residents are overjoyed with their new environmentally-friendly seating.

Last year the trust helped to provide seating for Ford Spence Court, Benderloch, by Oban.

Anne Ferguson, warden at Dunmar Court, said: ‘We know from our friends at Ford Spence Court these new benches will be a hit. The existing wooden benches were all pretty fragile and the tenants are going to love the new outdoor seating. A seat outside in the fresh air can really brighten your day, so the Heart of the Community grant is much appreciated. Our sincere thanks go to Scottish Sea Farms.’
