Edna sounds amazing

AN OBAN student is top of the grade after being named as the 2015 sound production student of the year.

Edna Price of Oban had initially enrolled on the NC Sound Production course at Argyll College UHI in 2013, progressing to the HNC level course the following year.

Curriculum manager Don Mitchell said: ‘She impressed us from the very start, showing dedication, a willingness to learn, creative thinking and a fantastic sense of humour.

‘Edna confidently achieved an overall ‘A’ grade whilst creating a portfolio of work to be extremely proud of.’

Before embarking on her studies, Edna’s passion for music had taken her to perform in venues as far afield as New York.

And not one to rest on her laurels, Edna is currently involved in the Music Makes Me recording project with the excellent singer songwriter Joe Mcalinden, where she will no doubt be putting her new studio skills to good use.
