Oban po­lice are on the case in Au­gust

SINCE the be­gin­ning of Au­gust, Oban town cen­tre has seen in­creased po­lice ac­tiv­ity, which the force says is nor­mal for this time of year.

Com­mu­nity of­fi­cer Jeremy Moore told a meet­ing of Oban com­mu­nity coun­cil on Mon­day night that there had been 13 crime re­ports.

These in­cluded dis­or­der in the town, one Li­cens­ing Scot­land Act case [where a drunk per­son did not leave a li­censed premises when asked], six thefts, four van­dal­ism cases, six road traf­fic of­fences and one case of wild life crime.
