Children’s figures revealed at forum
THERE are 36 children ‘looked after’ by the local authority in Oban, Lorn and the isles.
The numbers were given to the area’s community safety forum last week by Argyll and Bute council social workers.
In the area there are two children under a community protection order, 16 children who are looked after and accommodated by the local authority, seven children are in foster care, two children are in specialist units outside Argyll and Bute and nine under-16s are in kinship care.
