A DUNBEG nursery - staff and pupils - have been named Scottish Individual Nursery of the Year at a prestigious national awards ceremony.

Little Learners Nursery was crowned last week by the Scottish Nursery Awards held in the Hilton hotel in Glasgow.

The nursey is situated in the Argyll college building at Dunstaffnage.

Judges chose the winner based on which had ‘created the very best environment to allow for the highest levels of business performance, childcare and staff morale to flourish’.

Nursery manager Kathleen McNiven and senior staff member Louise McRae picked up the glass plaque in front of 500 spectators. Kathleen said: ‘I’m so proud of the nursery, the staff and to everyone else involved. We work so hard, so it’s good to be recognised.’
