Jailed for breaking curfew
A FORT William troublemaker with an ‘appalling record’ has been jailed for two months for breaking his curfew.
Luke Mobsby of Fassifern Road, in Fort William, is currently serving a sentence in Grampian prison for another matter, but appeared in Fort William sheriff court last Wednesday (September 2) where he admited breaking his curfew on April 28 this year.
Sheriff Brian Cameron heard the 21-year- old was visited at home by a female friend and he decided to go to his local shop to buy them food at 9.30pm, despite his curfew restricting him to his flat between 8pm and 8am.
Sheriff Cameron sentenced Mobsby to two months in prison, to be served concurrently alongside his present sentence, which has an earliest release date of December this year.
He said: ‘You have an appalling record.’
