Fergie hits all the rig remake of
Fergie with his accordion A WELL-known Lochaber and Argyll musician felt honoured when he found himself in the middle of a blockbuster film production after he was head-hunted for the part.
Fergie Macdonald, 78, of Acharacle was approached by London producers when they were seeking a musician to play traditional Scottish music in the remake of the 1949 hit, Whisky Galore.
Fergie said: ‘I got a phone call about a month ago from a woman and she explained that they had looked at musicians around Scotland and asked if I was interested in doing a blockbuster film, the remake of Whisky Galore.
‘I then spoke to one of the production managers who said I was whittled down from a long list of musicians and they really wanted me to play a part in the film.
