PO­LICE in Lochaber are ap­peal­ing for in­for­ma­tion about the fol­low­ing crimes in the area.

At around 11pm on Mon­day, Septem­ber 14, an un­in­vited male was found in a house in Glen­coe, near the visi­tor cen­tre. Af­ter the man left, it was dis­cov­ered a wal­let was miss­ing. Po­lice are keen to speak to a man de­scribed as around 60 years old, five feet nine inches tall, medium build with grey hair and fa­cial hair. He was wear­ing a hat, dark fleece jumper, dark trousers and glasses.

On Sun­day, Septem­ber 19, at 8.30pm, the back win­dow of an un­oc­cu­pied house at Tigh Phuirt, Glen­coe, was bro­ken in an ap­par­ent at­tempt to gain en­try.

A black and blue moun­tain bike was stolen from the gar­den of a house in Caol.

Some time be­tween Mon­day, Septem­ber 7, and Wed­nes­day, Septem­ber 16, a spare wheel and moun­tain bracket were stolen from a kayak trailer parked near the Isles of Glen­coe Ho­tel in Bal­lachul­ish.

Nu­mer­ous items are handed into Fort Wil­liam po­lice sta­tion ev­ery week, in­clud­ing phones, wal­lets and cam­eras. Po­lice re­mind the public if they have lost any­thing it is worth check­ing if it has been handed in.
