‘If you were in the area at the time or saw anything in regards to this, and are able to identify these men please call Fort William police.’

Good causes bag Co-op cash boost

GOOD causes in the West Highlands are set to bag funding boosts worth up to £2,500 as the Co- op gives away money raised from plastic bag charges.

Community groups can apply to the retailer’s local fund for a grant of between £200 and £2,500. The money has come from the sale of carrier bags since the 5p charge came into force in October last year.

Shops in Lochaber, Mull, Tiree, Kyle, Skye and the Western Isles all have money to give away and winners will be picked by a public vote from a shortlist of organisations.

Apply online before the deadline of October 7 via www.co- oplocalfund.co.uk.
