Fall in job seekers allowance claims

OBAN has seen the number of people claiming job seekers allowance fall to only 189 - the lowest number in the town since records began.

Young people have also faired well with a 30 per cent reduction in the numbers of claimants to 20 of those between the ages of 18 and 24.
