Drivers face A828 delays
TRAFFIC will be held up next week as resurfacing work takes place near Connel Bridge.
When the resurfacing works reach the narrowest section on the A828 at Connel Bridge, traffic will be held once for approximately 30 minutes in each direction while the works at this short length are carried out. This is scheduled to take place in the early hours to minimise disruption to motorists.
The work, being carried out by BEAR Scotland, starts on Monday November 9, overnight for four nights, between 7pm and 7am on the A828 southern approach to the bridge. No weekend work is planned.
Traffic management will be removed outside of working hours, however, care should be taken as vehicles will be running over a temporary surface.
The upgrade is part of £ 85,000 for resurfacing works invested by Transport Scotland.
Arrangements will be made for local residents to access Ferryfield Road and Ferryfield Drive while the improvements are carried out next to these junctions, however, it is anticipated this short section will be completed over one night.
