Driv­ers face A828 de­lays

TRAF­FIC will be held up next week as resur­fac­ing work takes place near Con­nel Bridge.

When the resur­fac­ing works reach the nar­row­est sec­tion on the A828 at Con­nel Bridge, traf­fic will be held once for ap­prox­i­mately 30 min­utes in each di­rec­tion while the works at this short length are car­ried out. This is sched­uled to take place in the early hours to min­imise dis­rup­tion to mo­torists.

The work, be­ing car­ried out by BEAR Scot­land, starts on Mon­day Novem­ber 9, overnight for four nights, be­tween 7pm and 7am on the A828 south­ern ap­proach to the bridge. No week­end work is planned.

Traf­fic man­age­ment will be re­moved out­side of work­ing hours, how­ever, care should be taken as ve­hi­cles will be run­ning over a tem­po­rary sur­face.

The up­grade is part of £ 85,000 for resur­fac­ing works in­vested by Trans­port Scot­land.

Ar­range­ments will be made for lo­cal res­i­dents to ac­cess Fer­ry­field Road and Fer­ry­field Drive while the im­prove­ments are car­ried out next to th­ese junc­tions, how­ever, it is an­tic­i­pated this short sec­tion will be com­pleted over one night.
