VISITORS to Artmap’s annual Open Studio Trail entered a prize draw to win £200 towards artwork from one of the red dot studios.

This year’s winner was Peter Burrell from Tayvallich who chose a print entitled Two Gannets by Appin artist Kate Spong.

Peter said: ‘ When I was told I had won the prize it was an easy decision to return to Katy’s studio. The tech- niques she uses together with her imagination have produced a beautiful picture. Artmap is a brilliant initiative, not only for the producers, but also for the customers, introducing them to artists they would otherwise not meet.’

Katy said: ‘I was so pleased Peter chose this print. The work came from a series of studies I made of gannets following a trip to Bass Rock earlier this year.’
