Hallowe’en theme for fish bomb party
MORE than 70 fish were decorated by people ranging in age from two to 72, with the theme of Day of The Dead influencing many of the fish’s decoration.
The fish are now in the under-fives playpark, as an awareness raiser for the ongoing fundraising for the last phase of the playpark project.
The fundraising target is about £160,000, with about £25,000 having already been raised. The playpark design will reflect the older kid’s playpark, with ageappropriate equipment and will also include an outdoor classroom.
The community is being encouraged to text the message ‘£ 3 OBAN15’ to 70070 to donate using Just Giving on their mobile phone or to undertake their own fundraising effort on a larger scale.
The older kids’ playpark will be officially opened on Sunday November 29 with a free party in Atlantis Community Leisure from 11am to 3.30pm to tie in with the last day of the Oban Winter Festival. More information will be provided on www.facebook.com/obancommunityplaypark.
