Tober­mory RNLI fundrais­ers cel­e­brate an­other suc­cess­ful year

TOBER­MORY RNLI’s fledg­ling fundrais­ing branch will mark a suc­cess­ful sec­ond year at the branch AGM on Mon­day Novem­ber 16.

It won’t all be busi­ness, how­ever, as the branch plans to have cheese and wine avail­able and ev­ery­one is wel­come at the lifeboat sta­tion to help cel­e­brate the vol­un­teers’ hard work.

As well as a hugely suc­cess­ful Lifeboat Day in Au­gust, which raised £ 5,500 to­wards the charit’s life­sav­ing work, the fundrais­ing vol­un­teers also or­gan­ised events on SOS Day at the end of Jan­uary, rais­ing just un­der £400, and also May­day where lo­cal res­i­dents, lo­cal schools and visi­tors raised more than £1,100. In be­tween, street col­lec­tions in Tober­mory have raised more than £ 500.

The AGM will take place at Tober­mory lifeboat sta­tion, with cheese and wine avail­able from 7pm.
