Tobermory RNLI fundraisers celebrate another successful year
TOBERMORY RNLI’s fledgling fundraising branch will mark a successful second year at the branch AGM on Monday November 16.
It won’t all be business, however, as the branch plans to have cheese and wine available and everyone is welcome at the lifeboat station to help celebrate the volunteers’ hard work.
As well as a hugely successful Lifeboat Day in August, which raised £ 5,500 towards the charit’s lifesaving work, the fundraising volunteers also organised events on SOS Day at the end of January, raising just under £400, and also Mayday where local residents, local schools and visitors raised more than £1,100. In between, street collections in Tobermory have raised more than £ 500.
The AGM will take place at Tobermory lifeboat station, with cheese and wine available from 7pm.
For more details, branch chairman Carolyn McHaffie can be contacted on email@example.com, call the lifeboat station on 01688 302143 or simply come along on the night of the AGM.
