The Oban Times - - News -

FATHER Christmas and his reindeer enjoyed their visit to Oban so much last year they have decided to return for the town’s Winter Festival.

While Santa is here on November 21, community business company BID4Oban is planning a Christmas Lights switch- on in Station Square.

Oban Pipe Band will lead the march through the town from the Corran Halls from 5pm.

Winners of a primary school Christmas Card Competition organised by the Rotary Club of Oban will accompany Santa in the procession and assist in switching on the lights.

Cast members from Puss in Boots, this year’s town pantomime from Spotlight Musical Theatre Group, will be taking part in the parade. The panto runs from December 2-5.

BID4Oban is sponsoring and organising the event aided by the Rotary Club of Oban and Oban and Lorn Lions Club.

Other attractions in Station Square on Saturday include a Victorian market and fairground rides.
