Waterlogged pitch problem rears its ugly head - again
WINTER has arrived in Lochaber meaning another backlog of games for Fort William Football Club.
The club’s long-running problems with a waterlogged pitch have returned with a vengeance this season as the last three Saturdays have seen home games postponed.
The Fort managed to play Cove Rangers in a Scottish Cup game last Monday but haven’t played a league game at Claggan since they took on Formartine United on October 17.
lly Ewen’s men were due to travel to take on Turriff United last night ( Wednesday) but this was postponed as the funeral of Fort coach John Matheson was on the same day.
Their next fixture is at Strathspey Thistle this Saturday before the Fort welcome Forres Mechanics on November 21.
