MEMBERS of all Scottish Women’s Institutes in Lochaber came together in Fort William for their autumn rally.
The main speaker at the event in the Salvation Army hall last Saturday was countryside ranger Angus MacIntyre. He spoke of changes in his role over the years, including his work in the community with summer play schemes, local events and flora and fauna walks. The talk was accompanied by a slideshow of Lochaber scenery.
Morar Institute won the trophy for best syllabus. Other competitions included best wildlife photograph which was won by Marion Davidson, followed by Pauline Elwell in second and Audrey MacEanchan in third.
Best rock buns was won by June Cairns with Edythe Knowles coming second and Margaret MacEachan in third.
