High­lands has high­est pass rates

SIT­TING a driv­ing test can be a stress­ful ex­pe­ri­ence, but those strug­gling can give them­selves an ad­van­tage by sit­ting their driv­ing tests in the High­lands of Scot­land.

The test cen­tres with the high­est pass rates in Bri­tain are Mal­laig, with an 83.3 per cent pass rate, Barra with 81.3 per cent, Kyle of Lochalsh with 73.5 per cent and Portree with 71.3 per cent of mo­torists pass­ing.

Ar­eas through­out Lon­don and Birm­ing­ham have the low­est pass rates, with fig­ures rang­ing from only 30 to 35 per cent of driv­ers pass­ing their test.
