Scottish government to blame for cuts
Sir, Residents are rightly angry at the destructive cuts to services being proposed by Argyll and Bute Council, but the blame should be directed towards those responsible.
It’s the Scottish Government in Holyrood which has starved all councils in Scotland of funds by refusing to allow them to raise Council Tax. Isn’t it ironic that the SNP in Scotland is meekly following the policy of the Conservative Government, which is squeezing councils in England the same way. David Pollard, Salen, Isle of Mull.
