‘Hard-work­ing’ chair­woman thanked

THE ‘HARD-WORK­ING’ chair­woman of Lochaber High School’s par­ent coun­cil has been thanked for her in­put as she steps down af­ter four years.

Caro­line Haines has passed the ba­ton to Liz Len­non and was pre­sented with flow­ers from pupils and staff of the Fort Wil­liam school.

Head teacher Jim Suther­land said: ‘ We are very grate­ful for the hard work and sup­port that Caro­line has given to the school over many years as a par­ent coun­cil mem­ber, then sec­re­tary and, for the last four years, as chair­per­son.

‘The par­ent coun­cil is an ef­fec­tive voice for par­ents, thanks to Caro­line’s pos­i­tive and en­thu­si­as­tic con­tri­bu­tion.’
