Game on as football club aids Dalmally charity

DALMALLY charity Mary’s Meals said it was delighted to announce it has become an official charity partner of Southampton Football Club.

The football club will support the charity’s work through a season-long fundraising initiative with the Saints Foundation.

This means all money raised will be split evenly between Mary’s Meals and the Saints Foundation’s projects in Southampton and the local area. The charity works to provide a nutritious daily meal in schools in some of the poorest countries across the world – encouraging children to the classroom where they receive food and an education that can be a route out of poverty.

Magnus MacFarlane-Barrow, CEO and founder of Mary’s Meals, said: ‘We are hugely grateful to have been chosen as an official charity partner of Southampton Football Club. This partnership will introduce us to new supporters and help us to feed more hungry children across the world. Mary’s Meals reached the milestone of feeding more than one million children across 12 countries in the spring this year, however, with 59 million children in the world still hungry, I believe this work has just begun.’
