THE FIRST episode of a four part television series showcasing the landscape and wildlife of Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park aired on Channel 5 last Tuesday.

The first episode focused on spring, the season of new life, and viewers were shown a rare glimpse of some of the best wildlife Scotland has to offer, such as the park’s ospreys flying home from West Africa to breed and rearing two baby chicks.

Speaking about the series, Simon Jones, director of conservation and visitor operations at Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, said: ‘Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park is blessed with jaw- dropping landscapes that are home to some of the country’s finest wildlife.

‘ We are thrilled that Channel 5 viewers will get a fascinating insight into a world our rangers are fortunate enough to see on a regular basis.’

The show will cover all four seasons and is on at 8pm on Tuesdays.
