finishing a consultation.
Development Coll enlisted the services of independent company Lateral North for analysis on three sites for housing, having already consulted the community earlier in the year.
During the consultation, the public view was that the need for affordable housing took priority over the location.
Three locations offered were visited by the district valuer and planning officer for Argyll and Bute Council, and following this, two were then taken off the market by the owners, leaving just one option.
All this information is now in the hands of the Scottish Land Fund who will take the decision at the end of November whether or not they will give Development Coll the funds required.
A spokesman said: ‘ Development Coll is delighted that matters are moving on and we look forward to Scottish Land Fund’s decision.’
