Facebook ‘Friends’ pay heartwarming tribute to island vet

The Oban Times - - News -

ISLANDERS have been posting pictures on social media of their animals in memory of a ‘caring and kind’ vet who tragically died in an accident on October 30.

When Theresa Wade, 29, died in a head on car collision on Mull the outpouring of grief from islanders and those from far beyond spoke of the shock and disbelief that the young islander had been killed.

Shortly after the woman’s funeral last week, Mull Theatre’s Alasdair McCrone from Tobermory posted a picture of his two dogs on Facebook to say thank you to Theresa, starting an ‘avalanche’ of tributes to the young woman.

Alasdair said: ‘A few of us thought it might be nice to start a wee thread with photos of our animals, friends who’d had love and care from our dear vet, Theresa. Share the love.’ Clockwise from top left: HTC; Hugo; cows on one of the many farms Theresa attended; Bregha the retriever; and Alasdair McCrone’s two dogs.
