Laughter, learning, pampering and friendship at Pink Ladies Day

The Oban Times - - Leisure -

A SPECIAL event for women who have experienced breast cancer and their friends is being held in Inveraray next month.

The Pink Ladies day, an event now in its second year, is for women from the west of Scotland, who have experienced first-hand living and dealing with breast cancer.

This is a day all about laughter, learning, pampering and friendship, along with good food and relaxation.

The Pink Ladies Day provides an opportunity for ‘Pink Ladies’ to meet like-minded or like-bodied women who are either in remission, or living with breast cancer to simply relax and enjoy themselves.

The day will run from 10am to 5pm and will include morning and afternoon coffee, lunch, a host of free complimentary therapies and beauty treatments and use of the Loch Fyne Hotel’s leisure facilities.

The day also presents the chance to hear from and speak to specialists in areas that can help with balancing life’s day-to- day challenges. There is the opportunity to learn more about health, fitness, nutrition and self- esteem.

The event is available for up to 50 women and their ‘plus one’ on a firstcome, first-served basis.

Often, women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer have at least one female friend or family member who has been a fantastic support to them during and after treatment, so this is the chance to spoil them a little too.

Those preferring to come on their own will be welcomed with open arms and will be well looked after throughout the day.

Anyone wishing to attend this special, free day must register in advance either by emailing Nicky Murphy: pinkladiesday@outlook.com or by calling Nicky on 07786 861266 by November 27.

Pre-bookings are very important to communicate with guests about activities, hair and beauty treatments and transport ahead of the day.
