Fort Wil­liam wel­comes cruise liner

MORE than 1,000 peo­ple ar­rived in Fort Wil­liam when a 30,000 tonne cruise ship stopped off in the town.

‘Ado­nia’ docked at the edge of Loch Linnhe as part of a 13- day tour of the Bri­tish isles. The ves­sel brought more than 800 peo­ple and al­most 400 crew mem­bers to Lochaber last Thurs­day (Au­gust 13).

High­land coun­cil­lor and Lochaber area leader Thomas MacLen­nan wel­comed the visit.
