Producers forced to make own rain
FILM producers in Glencoe were forced to use a rain machine last week as the area was too dry to film a shot.
Despite the west coast of Scotland being notorious for rain, the company had to create its own for an advert they were shooting.
MTP Production Company, which is based in Glasgow, shot in parts of Glen Etive and Clachaig Inn, using the Kings House Hotel as a base.
The filming will be used for an ident – a logo used between programmes – for Channel 5.
The A82 was also closed for short periods, with police using a rolling road block to avoid delays.
