CalMac check-in row resolved
FERRY passengers in Stornoway will have less time to wait before boarding after Western Isles MP Angus MacNeil had a decision made by CalMac overturned.
Mr MacNeil had accused CalMac of making ‘outrageous demands on the travelling public’ when it increased check-in times to a minimum of one hour on sailing between Stornoway on Lewis and Ullapool on the mainland. This was due to traffic congestion in Ullapool.
But after the MP stepped in, CalMac has reverted to the 45-minute check-in, but only on services leaving Stornoway.
