Council to offer bird advice
ARGYLL and Bute Council is to provide advice on controlling gulls and other birds that cause problems.
Councillors are regularly told about feral gulls and pigeons causing problems by nesting on properties and harassing people during nesting season.
At a recent meeting of the council’s planning, protective services and licensing committee, the problem and a range of solutions were discussed and it was decided that offering an advice service would be the best course of action.
The council will now develop guidance and information on how to minimise problems caused by wild birds which will be widely available.
