Argyll and Bute Council’s policy lead for education and lifelong learning Councillor Rory Colville said: ‘Argyll and Bute schools and education staff have an excellent track record in the Scottish Education Awards in previous years, including winning the coveted Head Teacher of the Year award, and I don’t expect this year to be any different.

‘Our teachers are enthusiastic and committed to delivering the best quality learning experience for all pupils and are constantly striving for excellence and to improve standards.’

The awards are open to any publicly-funded school and includes a number of categories.

Nominations can be made by visiting www. scottisheducationawards.org.uk and nominations close at noon on February 15.
