Car­ers Week 2016 runs from June 6 to 12

Car­ers Week is an an­nual cam­paign to raise aware­ness of car­ing, high­light the chal­lenges car­ers face and recog­nise the con­tri­bu­tion they make to fam­i­lies and com­mu­ni­ties.

Come and visit us at North Ar­gyll Car­ers Centre this week and find out more of what we do to sup­port car­ers across Oban, Lorn and the isles.

Dur­ing Car­ers Week we will have our reg­u­lar weekly coffee morn­ing on Tues­day June 7 from 11am with a talk on re­able­ment. On Thurs­day we will have Heather Noller from Car­ers Trust talk­ing about the new Car­ers Act and what it will mean for car­ers.

We cur­rently of­fer on­go­ing one to one sup­port, weekly coffee morn­ing, ther­a­pies, coun­selling, sup­port groups, so­cial out­ings, respite op­por­tu­ni­ties, train­ing and ac­tiv­i­ties, a young car­ers ser­vice, an out­reach sup­port worker for car­ers on is­lands and ru­ral main­land car­ers.

We also of­fer Oban Hospice Community Ser­vices where there is a ser­vice sup­port­ing those with life lim­it­ing con­di­tions and their fam­i­lies.

We can also of­fer Carer Sup­port Plans to sup­port you in your car­ing role.
