Ma­caulay Sixes are a big suc­cess

THE Ma­caulay Sixes, played for the first time on a Sun­day, at­tracted a to­tal of 33 teams – 15 for the P7 sec­tion and 15 for the P 5 sec­tion, with three for the de­vel­op­ment league.


The de­vel­op­ment league was won by Dunol­lie from Park School, the Alas­tair Camp­bell Shield was won by Braxi Boys from In­ver­lochy, who de­feated Taynuilt in the fi­nal, the Ian Cumming Me­mo­rial Tro­phy Cup was won by Bute, who de­feated New­ton­more Ti­tans in the fi­nal, and the Oban Celtic Shield was won by New­ton­more Ti­tans.

The best boy of the tour­na­ment was Archie MacK­in­non from In­ver­lochy and the best girl was Han­nah Mac­Don­ald from Park.

The Ma­caulay As­so­ci­a­tion would like to thank all the vol­un­teers who helped on the day with spe­cial thanks to Artemis, the main spon­sor, who pre­sented each team with a first aid kit.

In­ver­lochy’s Archie MacK­in­non and Park’s Han­nah Mac­Don­ald were voted best boy and girl in the tour­na­ment.

Taynuilt reached the fi­nal of the Alas­tair Camp­bell Shield but lost to In­ver­lochy.

New­ton­more Ti­tans lost out to Bute in the fi­nal of the Ian Cumming Tro­phy but made up for the dis­ap­point­ment by win­ning the Oban Celtic Shield.
