Glas­gow Mid Ar­gyll marched for­ward to the Artemis Ma­cAulay Cup quar­ter-fi­nals thanks to a thump­ing 8- 0 vic­tory over Bal­lachul­ish in their noon throw up at Peter­son Park, Yoker.

Euan Forsyth broke the dead­lock af­ter just five min­utes and Calum McLay made it 2- 0 on 17 min­utes.

The goals kept flow­ing and John McNulty on 20 min­utes and a sec­ond from Calum McLay on 29 min­utes made it 4- 0.

The pick of the af­ter­noon’s goals came three min­utes be­fore the break when John McNulty con­trolled a long Garry Luke shy from the left on his chest be­fore send­ing a vol­ley into the bot­tom cor­ner of the net to make it 5- 0.

Euan Forsyth on 66 min­utes and a late Craig An­der­son double on 80 and 83 min­utes com­pleted the 8- 0 vic­tory.

Glas­gow Mid Ar­gyll’s prize is an Artemis Ma­cAulay Cup quar­ter-fi­nal meet­ing with Kyles Ath­letic at Tighnabru­aich.
