Glasgow Mid Argyll 8 Ballachuli­sh 0

Glasgow Mid Argyll marched forward to the Artemis MacAulay Cup quarter-finals thanks to a thumping 8- 0 victory over Ballachuli­sh in their noon throw up at Peterson Park, Yoker.

Euan Forsyth broke the deadlock after just five minutes and Calum McLay made it 2- 0 on 17 minutes.

The goals kept flowing and John McNulty on 20 minutes and a second from Calum McLay on 29 minutes made it 4- 0.

The pick of the afternoon’s goals came three minutes before the break when John McNulty controlled a long Garry Luke shy from the left on his chest before sending a volley into the bottom corner of the net to make it 5- 0.

Euan Forsyth on 66 minutes and a late Craig Anderson double on 80 and 83 minutes completed the 8- 0 victory.

Glasgow Mid Argyll’s prize is an Artemis MacAulay Cup quarter-final meeting with Kyles Athletic at Tighnabrua­ich.
