New group gives tenants a voice

LOCHABER Housing Association (LHA) and Argyll Community Housing Association (ACHA) have established a Your Voice group.

This will ensure tenants are involved with and can influence decision-making about association policies, rent increases, maintenance and repairs.

The importance of tenant participation was highlighted during a recent forum at the LHA’s Fort William office whenrepresentatives from ACHA and City of Aberdeen Council joined forces with Lochaber residents and LHA staff to share best practice.

David MacLaren, LHA housing officer, said: ‘ The day was a success with tenants feeling informed.’
