ARI­SAIG Archery has just started up in the vil­lage, next to the Ari­saig Ho­tel.

The new at­trac­tion of­fers archery ses­sions in an ex­cel­lent set­ting, over­look­ing Loch nan Ceall.

Joey Baker, who is due to start his sec­ond year at St An­drews Univer­sity read­ing In­ter­na­tional Re­la­tions and has a keen in­ter­est in out­door sports, will be help­ing Mike King­wood run the pro­gramme through the sum­mer months.

Ari­saig Archery of­fi­cially launched at the Road to the Isles agri­cul­tural show on June 11, where the boys had a stall which proved very pop­u­lar.

Joey, from Ari­saig, said: ‘At the mo­ment most of the in­ter­est is from fam­i­lies.

‘But there are also a lot of older peo­ple who have never tried archery be­fore and are want­ing to make the most of this new op­por­tu­nity.’

Hour-long ses­sions are avail­able be­tween 10am and 4pm.
