Two men are held after drug is found
TWO men aged 44 and 50 from Soroba and Dunbeg have been detained by police in Oban on suspicion of carrying 1kg of amphetamine, a class- B drug. Commonly known as ‘speed’, the drug, if confirmed as such by specialists, was being carried in a quantity the police described as ‘with intent to supply’.
Sergeant John Stobo of Oban Police Station said: ‘ This detection was thanks to officers who acted after people in Oban came forward with vital information.’
A report has been made to the procurator fiscal.
