In­ver­lochy cou­ple thanked for first-class ser­vice as they step down from post of­fice

A COU­PLE are step­ping down from In­ver­lochy Post Pf­fice after serv­ing the com­mu­nity for nearly two decades.

Man­jit Sambhi and Sandy Pater­son are giv­ing up run­ning the ser­vice after 17 years as they are leav­ing the area.

Last week­end, the cou­ple in­vited cus­tomers, fam­ily, and friends to the Rail­way Club in the vil­lage to thank them for their friend­ship and cus­tom over the years.

Dur­ing the evening, In­ver­lochy Com­mu­nity Coun­cil made a pre­sen­ta­tion to them for their ser­vice to the vil­lage.

The Post Of­fice is closed this week for re­fur­bish­ment, but will re­open as newly-mod­ernised ‘lo­cal’ ser­vice at 1pm on Mon­day (July 11).

Cus­tomers will be able to ac­cess a range of Post Of­fice and mails ser­vices, in­clud­ing Spe­cial De­liv­ery, Lo­cal Col­lect, home shop­ping re­turns, on­line bank­ing, cash de­posits and with­drawals.

Sandy Pater­son and Man­jit Sambhi have served the com­mu­nity for 17 years.
