Days gone by – a wreck on Rum

Reader Charlie McCurdy sent in this picture of a wrecked trawler on Rum. He said: ‘ With reference to the article Morvern Lines and a visit to Rum in last week’s Oban Times, and the mention of the French trawler, Jack Abry II, ashore on Rum, please find attached photographs of the trawler taken in June 2012 which may be of some interest to your readers. I have also attached a photograph taken on the same date of the rusting bow section of a puffer protruding from a cave on the north coast of Eigg. How she got there is a mystery to me.
