Semi-fi­nal draw

THE DRAW for the 2016 Ca­manachd Cup semi-fi­nals was made on Mon­day July 11 at BBC Scot­land, Pacific Quay, Glas­gow.

Mak­ing the draw was MG Alba chief ex­ec­u­tive Don­ald Camp­bell, as­sisted by Ca­manachd As­so­ci­a­tion chief­tain Jock Turner and BBC Alba’s shinty com­men­ta­tor Hugh Dan Ma­cLen­nan.

The draw is as fol­lows: Beauly/ Kin­lochshiel v New­ton­more and Lochaber/ Kyles Ath­letic v Oban Ca­manachd.

Both matches will be tele­vised live by BBC Alba and will throw up at 4pm. BBC Scot­land will tele­vise the fi­nal.

The venues for the semi-fi­nal ties, which will be played on Au­gust 13 and 20, are still to be con­firmed.

The Ca­manachd Cup is shinty’s great­est prize and one of Scot­land’s old­est and most iconic sport­ing tro­phies.

The 2016 Ca­manachd Cup fi­nal will be played at An Aird Park, Fort Wil­liam, on Sat­ur­day Septem­ber 17.
