Agency lifts Lewis loch shellfish ban

HIGH levels of shellfish toxin identified in Lewis have returned to normal.

Monitoring work, undertaken on behalf on Food Standards Scotland, identified that toxins levels in Loch Leurbost were high and issued a warning on July 13.

The warning against eating shellfish from this area has now been lifted.
