Fallen tree delays Sunday trains

A TREE fell and landed on the train tracks between Connel Ferry and Oban last Sunday, causing three trains to be delayed.

Part of the tree became stuck under the 8.08am train from Edinbrugh to Oban but no passengers were injured and the tree was cleared.

The obstruction also affected the Glasgow to Oban service, with the train being held in Taynuilt for approximately 45 minutes.

The 12.11pm Oban to Glasgow service was also delayed as it was held in Oban until the track was cleared.
