Missing Mull bull returns to farm …but where he went remains a mystery

The Oban Times - - News -

A BULL that went missing for more than three weeks has turned up and been found happily grazing with his cows.

A search had been mounted when Founder of Chapelton, which is owned by Richard de Klee of Auchnacraig at Lochdon on the Isle of Mull, first went missing. Everyone had given up hope of ever finding him.

Mr de Klee explained: ‘ We had so much help in looking for the bull. Our stocksman was out looking, the Coastguard helped, as did our neighbours and friends, and no- one could find him. We even put a drone up.

‘ We also reported him missing to the police and the British Cattle Register.

‘ So we were amazed when he finally turned up. He is four years old and we have had two successful crops from him.’

Mr de Klee’s family have worked the farm at Lochdon for more than 150 years.

He said: ‘ He must have been hiding in a cave or something.’

The missing bull returned of his own accord.
